Peru’s Air Force opens 2027 intake for officers and non-commissioned officers

The Peruvian Air Force is preparing its 2027 admissions process for young people seeking professional or technical careers in the military. Both schools operate at Las Palmas Air Base in Surco.

The Officers’ School will begin pre-registration and registration on October 16. Its five-year program includes 17 specialties, ranging from piloting, air defense and intelligence to electronic, meteorological, aeronautical, geospatial and armament-systems engineering. It also offers studies in systems, finance, supply and personnel.

Applications can be completed virtually through the school’s official platform or in person at the Aerospace Center in Miraflores. General requirements include Peruvian nationality, completion of secondary school, single status, no children or direct dependents, no criminal or judicial record, and physical and mental fitness. Applicants must also not have been expelled from a military or police training institution.

The age range runs from 15 to 21 years, 11 months and 29 days as of December 31 of the previous year. Minimum height requirements are 1.68 meters for men and 1.58 meters for women. Applicants for piloting must meet the weight requirements set out in the relevant anthropometric table.

The Non-Commissioned Officers’ School will open fully online registration on September 15. Its three-year technical programs include special-forces training, weapons maintenance and operation, engine and propeller maintenance, meteorology, geomatics, telecommunications and air traffic control. More than 200 places are expected to be available, compared with an average of about 1,000 applicants each year. The selection process includes medical, physical, academic, psychological and psychometric evaluations.
