Photographer Cedric Zellweger is delving into the complex and often contradictory life of tech mogul Elon Musk with his latest project.

Zellweger, a recent graduate of the École cantonale d'art de Lausanne (ECAL), was drawn to Musk's public persona, particularly his transformation from a widely admired "tech genius" to a more controversial and politicized figure. "I spent a lot of time on Reddit and social media when he was still a kind of idol, this 'tech genius,'" Zellweger recounted. "When he became politicized and changed his mindset, the evolution of his character became an important theme for me."

The project, titled "If Life Is a Video Game, the Graphics Are Great, but the Plot Is Confusing & the Tutorial Is Way Too Long," takes its name from a post shared on Musk's X account. Zellweger's artistic approach aims to capture an "enigmatic chaos," a reflexive disorder that prompts curiosity and introspection about the world around us.

This body of work is set to be unveiled at the upcoming Images Vevey Biennial in September, where it will remain on display until January at the Swiss Camera Museum. Zellweger's exploration promises to offer a nuanced perspective on one of the world's most prominent and debated figures.
