Kwankwaso was accompanied by Aminu Abdulsalam Gwarzo, the NDC's governorship candidate for Kano State. According to a statement released by Kwankwaso's media aide, Saifullahi Hassan, the two political figures engaged in "warm exchanges." However, the statement did not provide specific details regarding the topics discussed during their meeting.

The visit occurs as political activities intensify in anticipation of Nigeria's 2027 general elections. While the meeting has drawn attention, there has been no indication from either camp suggesting it was related to forming political alliances or developing electoral strategies.
