Big Brother Naija winner Ijeoma Otabor, known as Phyna, became emotional in a recent Instagram post, refuting accusations that her greed led to her sister Ruth's death. She expressed distress over public judgment based on what she claims are lies, particularly as her sister's birthday approached.

Phyna detailed a family crisis that began when she started refusing their requests for money. She recounted an incident where her father allegedly lied to a newspaper after she refused to buy an expensive roof, stating, "The moment I started saying no was when I noticed that money was going down." She expressed a feeling of being a perpetual disappointment to her family, questioning how she succeeded despite their perceived lack of faith in her.
