The popular mobile game Pikmin Bloom is entering the final stretch of its August summer holiday event, and developers have announced a special addition to give players a last chance at coveted rewards. The giant Seafoam Blimp Mushrooms, which were previously only available on weekends, will now make an extended appearance.

Players can look forward to tackling these formidable mushrooms on August 28th and August 31st. This means that from August 28th onwards, there will be four consecutive days where the giant Seafoam Blimp Mushrooms are available. This significant extension is designed to help players who are still striving to complete their collections of event-exclusive items.

As the August summer holiday event in Pikmin Bloom draws to a close, the official announcement revealed that the giant Seafoam Blimp Mushrooms, originally limited to weekends, will also appear on August 28th and 31st.

The primary goal for many players during this final push is to obtain the complete set of Bali-themed decorative Pikmin. Additionally, the event features exclusive Mii costumes that are also highly sought after. The extended availability of the giant mushrooms increases the chances for players to gather the necessary resources and complete these objectives before the event concludes.

Beyond the giant mushrooms, the August event introduced new decorative Pikmin, including white, yellow, and red Canna varieties, which could occasionally bloom from giant flowers when planting standard petals nearby. The event also saw the return of refreshing shaved ice and ice cream-themed Pikmin from 2024, with new frozen Pikmin joining the shaved ice collection. Players could acquire tropical coconuts, the event's currency, through various means such as completing challenges, destroying mushrooms, opening mystery boxes, and purchasing premium passes or special bundles. These coconuts can be exchanged for event-limited Mii costumes and other rewards. A special bonus for collecting 15,000 tropical coconuts allows players to choose a golden seedling of a shaved ice decorative Pikmin in their preferred color.
