Pilot Unified Utility payment system to launch in Dushanbe’s Sino district

A pilot digital platform that consolidates various utility payments into a single bill is set to launch in Dushanbe's Sino district. The new Unified Utility Payment system is designed to streamline the process for residents by combining charges for essential public services into one account, enhancing convenience and transparency.

This initiative, part of Dushanbe's wider digitalization strategy, was discussed at a meeting involving representatives from the city's municipal authorities and utility providers. Currently, residents receive separate bills for different services and pay through multiple channels. The unified bill will encompass electricity, water supply, wastewater services, heating, solid waste collection, and housing maintenance.

Under the new system, residents will receive monthly SMS notifications with the total amount due, payment details, and a link to an online portal. They can review and pay for all services online, eliminating the need to visit payment centers. The pilot phase in Sino district will assess the system's technical performance, improve coordination among providers, and gather user feedback before a potential city-wide expansion.
