Pingtung E-DA Health Industry Park project hit by construction payment dispute

A dispute has erupted among downstream contractors at the Pingtung E-DA Health Industry Park project, with accusations of unpaid wages and withheld project funds. The situation has led to protests at the construction site.

Chen Bang-han, head of the Lei Sen Design Engineering Company, a downstream contractor, alleged that the upstream firm, Omya Technology Engineering, has failed to pay outstanding project fees. This alleged debt, Chen claims, has directly resulted in construction workers not receiving their salaries, causing significant hardship.

To draw attention to their plight, a group of affected contractors and workers gathered at the Pingtung E-DA Health Industry Park. They displayed banners to publicly protest the alleged non-payment and demand resolution of the salary issues. The protest highlights the financial strain and labor disputes affecting those involved in the project.
