Pingtung Health Fair Kicks Off with Popular Doctor Lectures

Pingtung County, Taiwan, launched its "Famous Doctors Visit, Take Health Home" lecture series on August 16, drawing over 400 attendees to the Pingtung Art Museum. The event featured five leading physicians from Pingtung Veterans General Hospital, Pingtung Hospital, and Baosian Hospital, who shared accessible health advice.

County Magistrate Chou Chun-mi emphasized the importance of health as "life's greatest wealth and the cornerstone of a hopeful city." She highlighted the county's efforts to enhance local medical care, introducing advanced equipment and skilled medical teams. In addition to existing facilities, the county will welcome I-da Hospital, further strengthening its healthcare network.

The inaugural lecture focused on common health concerns for all age groups, from infants to seniors. Specialists covered pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics, metabolic disease management, and cancer prevention and treatment. Chou noted that securing appointments with these renowned doctors is often difficult, making the lecture series a valuable opportunity for residents to gain practical health knowledge.

Future lectures are scheduled across Pingtung, including in Donggang, Xiaoliuqiu, and Hengchun, aiming to provide comprehensive health guidance to all county residents and promote the concept of "prevention starts with daily life." The next lecture, "Vitality Health Lottery," will take place on August 29 in Donggang.
