Pirelli to remain sole F1 tyre supplier through 2028

Pirelli's long-standing relationship with Formula One is set to continue, with the Italian company confirmed as the sport's sole tyre supplier through the 2028 season. This decision comes after a mutual agreement involving all key stakeholders, including the FIA and Formula One Group.

The governing body, the FIA, announced on Thursday that it had exercised an option to extend Pirelli's current contract by one year. The original deal was signed in 2023, and the extension ensures stability for the championship and reinforces the strong collaboration between the involved parties.

In addition to its Formula One commitments, Pirelli will also maintain its role as the exclusive tyre supplier for the Formula Two and Formula Three support series. This comprehensive agreement solidifies Pirelli's integral position within the premier tiers of motorsport for the foreseeable future.

FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem expressed satisfaction with the extension, stating that it provides crucial stability for the championship. The continued partnership underscores the successful and collaborative relationship between the FIA, Formula One Group, and Pirelli.
