Pirelli Unveils New P Zero Tires at UK's Goodwood Festival of Speed

Pirelli showcased its renewed P Zero tire line at the prestigious Goodwood Festival of Speed in the United Kingdom. The festival, held from July 9-12, is renowned for featuring concept and rare cars in action, offering a unique platform for automotive innovation.

Several high-performance vehicles were equipped with the new P Zero tires, demonstrating their capabilities on the festival's iconic hill climb course. Among the featured cars were the Pagani Utopia, fitted with the P Zero Corsa semi-slick tires, and the Ferrari 296 GTB, which uses the P Zero Corsa System. Notably, Ferrari's first pure electric model, the Ferrari Vision Gran Turismo, also sported specialized P Zero E tires, developed with over 55% bio-based and recycled materials.

The P Zero line, a flagship product for Pirelli with over 300 original equipment (OE) certifications, has a long history dating back to 1987 when it was first used on the Ferrari F40. It has since become a symbol of performance and luxury, chosen for exclusive high-performance and luxury car models.

Pirelli highlighted the P Zero's advanced technology, including the Cyber Tyre system on the Pagani Utopia Roadster. This system allows direct data exchange between the tire and the vehicle's electronic systems via integrated sensors. Additionally, the P Zero Trofeo RS tires were fitted to performance variants like the Bentley Continental GT Speed, Porsche Taycan Turbo GT, and BMW M2, underscoring the tire's track-focused capabilities.

The company emphasized that the P Zero line benefits directly from Pirelli's extensive experience in motorsport, including Formula 1. This continuous transfer of technology from racing to road tires ensures that the P Zero products embody cutting-edge performance, safety, and driving pleasure.
