Planetarium Activities for Children During Winter Break

The Galileo Galilei Planetarium is inviting families to explore the cosmos during Argentina's winter school break with a diverse program of activities. Running from July 18 to August 2, the planetarium aims to engage young minds with both educational and entertaining experiences.

Visitors can immerse themselves in "Functions Inmersivas en el DOMO," offering a visually stunning journey through space. The museum and astronomical plaza provide a hands-on learning environment, featuring representations of Earth and the celestial sphere, real meteorites, and lunar rocks. Knowledgeable guides will lead tours, explaining astronomical concepts and the building's unique architecture, while sharing historical facts about the institution. These tours have a limited capacity of 40 people.

For those eager to gaze at the stars, the planetarium offers telescope observations on weekends. During the day, safe solar viewing is available through specially filtered telescopes. At night, visitors can explore celestial objects, weather permitting. All activities require checking the schedule, and telescope observations are contingent on clear skies, with cancellations possible due to rain or storms.
