Player banned for five years after brutal assault in women's futsal match

A brutal on-field assault has resulted in a five-year ban for a female futsal player in Eusébio, Brazil. The player, identified only by her jersey number 10 for the team RSN (also known as "As Resenhas"), attacked two opponents during a municipal championship match. The violent incident occurred in the second half of a game where her team was trailing RDJ Sport 1-0.

According to reports, after losing possession of the ball, the player tackled an opponent from behind. While the rival was on the ground, the aggressor delivered two kicks to her head. When another player from RDJ Sport attempted to intervene and restrain the attacker, she also received blows to the face. The match was halted as players from both teams rushed to separate the individuals and calm the situation.

While the aggressor's identity has not been publicly disclosed due to legal protections during the investigation, the victim of the kicks was taken to a medical facility and filed a complaint. The Civil Police of Ceará have opened an investigation into the injuries sustained. The Public Prosecutor's Office is also involved, examining potential criminal liability. The Municipality of Eusébio condemned the violence, and the Liga Deportiva de Futsal confirmed the five-year ban based on the referee's report, barring the player from all league-organized activities.
