Plaza Amador Thrash Herrera FC 4-1 to Strengthen Their Position in the 2026 Apertura Tournament

Plaza Amador controlled the match from start to finish and beat Herrera FC 4-1 at COS Sports Plaza in the seventh round of Panama’s 2026 Apertura Tournament.

José Murillo opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, and Everardo Rose doubled the lead seven minutes later. Herrera FC reduced the deficit through Abraham Aguilar in the 42nd minute, giving the visitors a brief opening before halftime.

Plaza Amador restored its control after the break. Héctor Ríos made it 3-1 in the 55th minute, and Ricardo Phillips completed the scoring in the 86th. The result reflected Plaza Amador’s dominance in possession and attack.

The winners held 69% of the ball against Herrera FC’s 31% and registered 141 attacks to 113. Plaza Amador recorded nine shots, including seven on target, while Herrera FC had seven shots and only two on target. Plaza Amador also led 7-1 in corners and committed no offsides, while Herrera FC was flagged twice.
