Prime Minister Han Duck-soo inspected water supply measures at the Unmun Dam, a key water source for the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions, on August 8. The visit aimed to assess preparations for a prolonged drought and heatwave.

Following the dam inspection, Han visited a senior welfare center in Cheongdo. He checked the cooling system and the health of the elderly visitors, urging them to take care and use the center frequently during the hot weather. He also ordered relevant agencies, including the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, Gyeongbuk Province, and Cheongdo County, to ensure uninterrupted operation of the welfare centers and cooling support.
