PNL Leader Bolojan Slams President's PM Choice as 'Hostile Act'

Ilie Bolojan, the interim leader of the National Liberal Party (PNL), has launched a strong attack against President Nicușor Dan following the latter's designation of Adrian Veștea as prime minister. Bolojan condemned the decision as a "hostile act" and a clear attempt to "break" the PNL, suggesting this intention was evident since the government's downfall in favor of the Social Democratic Party (PSD).

Bolojan emphasized that neither he nor the PNL leadership were informed about the president's choice beforehand. He argued that imposing a prime minister from within the party without prior consultation, especially after unanimous decisions by party bodies, violates principles of fair political collaboration. The PNL leader announced an emergency convocation of the party's National Political Bureau to establish an official position.
