Police and prosecutors seek two young men over arson and car damage in Deinze

Police and prosecutors in Deinze are looking for two young men filmed by surveillance cameras at the town’s railway station.

The pair are suspected of deliberately trying three times to set a vehicle on fire on Monday evening, Aug. 10. One vehicle eventually burned out on Legestraat. Another vehicle was deliberately damaged at the windshield on Gaversesteenweg.

Police described the first suspect as a normally built young man with brown hair and blonde highlights, a beard and a mustache. He wore gray sweatpants, a black hoodie with a white Gorillaz logo and gray shoes, and carried a black backpack with white details. Police said he vapes.

The second suspect had hair shaved close to the scalp. He was normally built and wore a light gray hoodie, dark shorts and white sports shoes with black laces.
