Police Appeal for Owners of Baby Blanket Embroidered with 'Henri' After Search Yields No Clues

Police in Stavele, Belgium, are seeking the owners of a baby carrier and a baby blanket found near a secluded stream, sparking a significant search operation.

A walker discovered the items along the Heidebeek in Stavele on July 8. The blanket had the name 'Henri' embroidered on it. Given the remote location and the nature of the discovery, authorities launched an extensive search.

The fire department searched the water with divers and a drone combed the area from the air. Ultimately, in consultation with the also still searching.

Divers from the fire department searched the stream, while a drone surveyed the surrounding area. Despite these efforts, no person or child was found. Police also conducted administrative checks, contacting several families, but found no connection to the items. All children in the contacted families were reported to be in good health.

With no further leads, police have posted a photo of the items on social media, hoping the owner or someone who recognizes them will come forward. The extensive search has been called off, but the appeal for information remains.
