Police arrest two in raid on Rehovot cannabis nursery, seize hundreds of plants

Israeli police apprehended two individuals in Rehovot on Sunday during a raid on a cannabis nursery, seizing hundreds of marijuana plants and tens of thousands of shekels. The operation followed weeks of investigation into the suspects' alleged involvement in both cultivating and distributing drugs from an apartment in Yehud.

During the raid, authorities confiscated approximately NIS 25,000 in cash. They also seized over 400 marijuana seedlings, approximately 7.3 kilograms of suspected cannabis plant matter, and around 1 kilogram of suspected hashish. The two arrested suspects, aged 39 and 42, are residents of Yehud and Kiryat Ono.

Following their interrogation, the suspects were detained. Police are expected to seek an extension of their custody in court. This operation comes shortly after a significant drug seizure in Bat Yam last week, where police confiscated cocaine, crystal meth, ecstasy, ketamine, hallucinogenic mushrooms, and a large sum of cash.
