Police arrest two suspected robbers in Lagos, recover gun

The Lagos State Police Command, in collaboration with a local vigilante group, has apprehended two individuals suspected of armed robbery in the Odogunyan area. The arrests occurred during a crime prevention patrol, which led to the recovery of a locally made cut-to-size Dane gun and three live cartridges.

During the patrol operation, the operatives intercepted the two suspects, who were carrying a handbag and attempted to flee upon sighting the security team. They were swiftly apprehended, and a search conducted on the handbag in their possession led to the recovery of one locally made cut-to-size Dane gun and three live cartridges.

According to SP Abimbola Adebisi, the Police Public Relations Officer, the suspects attempted to flee upon spotting the security team but were swiftly apprehended. A search of their handbag revealed the firearm and ammunition.

The suspects are currently in custody and assisting the Police with ongoing investigations, after which they will be charged to court accordingly.

The arrested suspects have been identified as Arowolo Damilola, 32, and Adewale Adeyinka, 29. They are currently in police custody and are assisting with ongoing investigations. The police stated that the suspects will be charged to court accordingly.
