Police arrest two suspects plotting Jerusalem terror attack, seize illegal weapons

Israeli police announced on Wednesday the arrest of two suspects allegedly planning a terror attack in Jerusalem. The arrests were made in Shuafat, with authorities entering the suspects' homes covertly. The individuals were transferred for interrogation without further incident.

In a separate operation in A-Ram, police located illegal weapons and other illicit items across two locations. Seized items included a Glock pistol with ammunition, a hunting rifle, two Palestinian flags, a police vest, an M5 scope, and an FN pistol. Three suspects in their 20s were arrested during this raid; two had their detentions extended, while the third was released under conditions.

Additionally, police reported arresting an illegal resident in Tel Aviv suspected of indecent acts against three victims. The 20-year-old suspect was apprehended after civilians alerted authorities at Charles Clore Beach.

In Beit Hanina, a major crackdown resulted in the seizure of goods suspected of being stolen or counterfeit, including miniature drink cans, branded shirts, accessories, and Rolex watches. Two vehicles valued at approximately 122,000 shekels were also foreclosed due to owner debt. Business owners linked to the seized items were taken in for questioning as the investigation continues.
