Police assistant on trial for indecent exposure and offensive remark to colleague

A Danish police assistant faces a trial in Aarhus for allegedly violating a colleague's decency by exposing his penis and making a derogatory comment. The incident reportedly occurred at a pub called Brocaféen in June 2022 during an after-work summer party attended by many colleagues.

The prosecution alleges that the accused, while intoxicated, exposed his penis and repeatedly rubbed or "hit" it against a colleague's upper arm. The indictment also states the accused uttered words to the effect of, "I've always wanted to do this to a 'perker' (a derogatory term for a person of foreign origin)."

The accused admits to exposing his penis but denies touching the offended colleague or using the offensive term. He described his actions as a "gimmick" intended to get the attention of a colleague with whom he had a good relationship. He stated that only the tip of his penis was exposed and that he was trying to make eye contact.

The complainant, who reported the incident, described feeling "paralyzed" by the touch and "exposed, humiliated, and violated." The accused has been suspended from his duties pending the trial, with several colleagues who witnessed the event expected to testify.
