Police charge teens after Lamborghini keys stolen in Vaughan home invasion

Police have charged two individuals, aged 15 and 18, in connection with a brazen home invasion in Vaughan where thieves demanded the keys to a Lamborghini. The incident occurred before 5 a.m. on May 15, when four suspects allegedly forced their way into a home in the Stormont Trail and Carling Road area.

According to York Regional Police, the suspects woke the sleeping residents and threatened them with a gun. They demanded cash, jewelry, and the keys to a Lamborghini, ultimately fleeing the scene in the luxury vehicle. Investigators stated that the suspects also escaped in a dark sedan accompanied by a fifth individual.

A month after the home invasion, police executed three search warrants in Toronto. These warrants led to the seizure of a loaded firearm and the arrest of the two teenagers. The 18-year-old faces charges including possession of a loaded firearm, while the 15-year-old is charged with robbery with a firearm, among other offenses.

Authorities noted that both charged individuals were already subject to judicial release orders for other offenses. The investigation is ongoing, with police seeking to identify and apprehend any remaining suspects involved in the incident.
