Police commander confirms leaked audio, launches probe into its origin

Bolivia's Police Commander, General Mirko Sokol, has confirmed that a leaked audio recording circulating online is authentic. However, he asserted that the recording was made illegally, without his consent, during a meeting with police university officials and students.

Sokol stated that the content of his conversation in the audio is truthful, but he also acknowledged that certain aspects discussed may be difficult to substantiate with concrete proof. He revealed that an internal investigation is underway to determine how the audio was leaked.

The commander made these statements in an interview with radio Panamericana, addressing the authenticity and circumstances surrounding the leaked audio. The investigation into the filtration aims to identify the source of the illegal recording.
