Police kill three kidnappers, rescue victim in Oyo operation

Operatives in Nigeria's Oyo State have successfully neutralized three suspected kidnappers and rescued a victim during a security operation in Otu, Oke-Ogun axis. The swift action followed a distress call from local hunters who had come under gunfire attack from the criminals.

The rescued victim, identified as Mosudi Gbolagade, aged about 50, had been allegedly kidnapped at Okaka and held in the Otu area. He sustained gunshot injuries and received medical treatment. Security operatives also recovered one AK-47 rifle (without ammunition), a single-barrel gun, and a machete.

One local hunter sustained injuries during the exchange and is receiving hospital treatment.
