Police: No grounds to reopen 'Party Games' sex crime investigation into Eyal Golan

Investigators handling the "Party Games" sex crimes probe have informed senior police officials that there are no grounds to reopen the investigation into popular singer Eyal Golan. The announcement follows a directive last week to halt initial investigative conclusions.

According to a document submitted to police leadership, investigators found no new evidence that would alter the existing basis of the case, which had previously been closed. The investigation team's assessment is that there is currently no legal or factual justification to resume proceedings against Golan regarding this specific matter.

Police anticipate that Maj.-Gen. Boaz Balat, head of the Investigations and Intelligence Division, will inform the State Attorney's Office that further investigative action in the "Party Games" case is unnecessary from the police's viewpoint. A final decision on this matter is expected soon.

Separately, police are continuing to examine another sexual misconduct case involving Golan, known as the "Beautician" case. It is estimated that this case will also likely be closed after the complainant and a private investigator are questioned again, and following Golan's own questioning.
