Police Lieutenant Do Van Linh, a 27-year-old officer in the Drug Crime Investigation Department of Dien Bien Provincial Police, is dedicating his spare time to running a free online tutoring program. Known online as Linhteacher99, Linh offers classes to students, aiming to bridge educational gaps for those in need.

Linh's own background, growing up in a farming family in Thanh Nưa commune, Dien Bien, instilled in him a deep understanding of the difficulties faced by students in mountainous and ethnic minority regions. His academic success, including provincial and national awards and graduating as valedictorian from the People's Security University, fueled his desire to help others. Initially, Linh posted short, easy-to-understand videos on social media covering key points in literature and history. The positive response and wide sharing of his content led him to develop the fan page into a fully free online classroom. He finds motivation in his work experiences and the belief that students in remote areas, despite their determination, often lack the resources for higher education preparation.

His curriculum focuses on literature and history, subjects Linh believes are crucial for nurturing the soul, fostering national identity and pride, and cultivating revolutionary ideals and political conviction. Beyond academics, Linh integrates lessons on law, life skills, self-protection, and positive values. Despite the demands of his police work, he meticulously prepares lesson plans and teaches during evenings and weekends, driven by student trust and the program's humanitarian mission. After more than three years, the fan page boasts over 310,000 followers, becoming a vital resource for students nationwide, especially those in remote areas.
