Police Raid Uncovers Illegal Casino in Hessisch Oldendorf

Authorities in Hessisch Oldendorf, Germany, conducted a pre-dawn raid on Saturday, uncovering an illegal gambling establishment. The operation, involving approximately 75 officers from the Hannover riot police and the THW (Federal Agency for Technical Relief), began shortly after midnight and concluded around 5:30 a.m.

During the raid, police seized five slot machines and cash in the low four-figure Euro range. The identities of 13 individuals present at the scene were verified. Authorities have launched an investigation into a 34-year-old man suspected of organizing illegal gambling activities.

The operation was executed under a judicial search warrant requested by the Hannover public prosecutor's office, stemming from an ongoing investigation into suspected illegal gambling. The THW provided logistical support, including trucks and lighting equipment, to facilitate the extensive police presence, which reportedly included masked officers in helmets and bulletproof vests.
