Police in Wakiso District have recovered a motorcycle stolen during an aggravated robbery and impounded a second vehicle believed to have been used by the suspects. The incident occurred Wednesday night in Muzinda Cell, Nsangi-Kyengera Town Council, when a boda boda rider was targeted after picking up a passenger.

The victim reported that after picking up the passenger at Stabex Petrol Station in Nansana, he was directed towards Nsangi. While on a deserted stretch of Katereke-Muzinda Road near the Mpigi Bypass, the passenger allegedly grabbed the rider by the neck. Simultaneously, two other assailants, who had stretched a rope across the road, pulled the rider off his motorcycle and fled with it. The passenger also escaped into nearby bushes.

Following the robbery, police launched an investigation and successfully recovered the stolen motorcycle, registration number UMA 895GN, abandoned in Kasenge Zone, Kikajo Ward, Kyengera Town Council. Additionally, a black motorcycle, registration UDJ 362B, suspected to have been used by the perpetrators, was impounded. Forensic and intelligence-led operations are underway to identify, locate, and apprehend the individuals involved.
