Police release new footage in search for Cornwall, Ont. man missing since 2022

Investigators are renewing their efforts to find Paul Bellemore, a Cornwall, Ontario man who disappeared four years ago, by releasing new surveillance footage of his last known movements. Bellemore was last seen on July 29, 2022, near Lamoureux Park along the Cornwall waterfront. The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) suspect foul play in his disappearance.

The newly released footage shows Bellemore arriving at the Cornwall Civic Complex in a black 2018 BMW sedan around 4:35 p.m. on the day he vanished. He was later seen entering Cornwall Square, briefly visiting a kiosk, and then heading towards Lamoureux Park. His last known location was behind the park's bandshell.

Bellemore's sister, Chantal, expressed the family's ongoing anguish, stating, "Paul is not just a missing person. He is a son, a brother, an uncle and a friend. He is someone who is deeply loved and missed by so many people." She added that the uncertainty of his fate causes immense pain.

Bellemore, who was 43 at the time of his disappearance, is described as five feet 11 inches tall and weighing 159 pounds, with green eyes and a balding or shaved head. He was last seen wearing a light-colored shirt, shorts, a grey Hurley hat, and black camouflage sandals. The missing person report was initially filed by Cornwall police on August 2, 2022, with the OPP joining the investigation in January 2023. Authorities urge anyone with information to come forward.
