Police Respond to Brawl Between Young Groups in Copenhagen's Valby

Copenhagen police deployed a significant number of patrols to Valby following multiple reports of a brawl involving two groups of young men. The incident, which occurred near Grønttorvsparken around 8 p.m. on Tuesday, prompted a large police response. Initial calls to authorities indicated that some individuals involved may have been armed with blunt objects, firearms, and knives. "Several reports are coming in about people having weapons, stabbing weapons, and so on," stated duty officer Rune Nørgaard to Ekstra Bladet. Police have detained "a few individuals" at the scene, described as young men in their 20s. "We are in the process of clarifying the course of events," Nørgaard told Ritzau, adding that officers have interviewed several witnesses, while others reportedly fled the scene. Despite the reports of weapons, police have not yet recovered any firearms or knives. Officers, assisted by dogs, are currently searching the area. Fortunately, there have been no reports of injuries resulting from the altercation.
