Police to verify viral video claiming to be of Atiq Ahmed's son's fatal car crash

Uttar Pradesh Police are investigating a video circulating online that purports to show the fatal car crash involving Aban Ahmed, the youngest son of slain gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed. The video, allegedly filmed by a car following behind, appears to capture the vehicle losing control and colliding with a road divider in Jhansi.

A video is going viral on social media platforms, which is being linked to a recent accident. As per the instructions of the Senior Superintendent of Police, Jhansi, the authenticity of the said video is being verified.

Authorities are working to confirm the video's authenticity. A Moth circle officer stated that the video is being verified as per the instructions of the Senior Superintendent of Police, Jhansi. He urged the public to share the video only after its verification and confirmation.

The crash occurred on Thursday around 10:30 am in the Poonch police station area. Aban Ahmed, 20, was traveling with four others, including the driver, Zaid, to meet his elder brother, Ali Ahmed, who is currently in Jhansi district jail. According to police, the driver reported experiencing a "momentary blackout or dizziness," which led to the accident.

The vehicle reportedly went out of control at high speed before hitting the divider. The impact was severe, mangling the car's front end. Aban Ahmed and another occupant, Sonu, were declared dead on arrival at a local hospital. The three other injured individuals are reported to be in stable condition and have spoken with police.
