Police yet to identify body found in suitcase in southern NSW

Police are investigating the suspicious death of an adult female after her body was discovered in a suitcase by the side of a road in southern New South Wales. The grim discovery was made by members of the public on Sunday afternoon near Wolgon Road at Oallen, southeast of Goulburn. Commander of the Hume Police District, Superintendent Linda Bradbury, stated that efforts to identify the remains are ongoing due to their state of decomposition. Forensic examination of the suitcase is underway to help determine how long it had been at the location. The death is being treated as suspicious, and the homicide squad has been involved in the investigation. Authorities are also looking into potential connections between the body and missing persons cases. Oallen, a small village in the Southern Tablelands, is not a heavily trafficked route, though it is regularly used. Police have indicated that the forensic testing process will take time.
