Poll results released: Most trusted figure in Ukraine revealed

A recent public opinion poll conducted in Ukraine at the beginning of June has shed light on the trust Ukrainians place in their political leaders. The survey indicates that while President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's trust rating remains stable at 61%, former Commander-in-Chief Valeriy Zaluzhnyi has emerged as the most trusted figure, with an impressive 73% approval.

The research, carried out by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) from May 7 to June 3, 2026, also found that 34% of Ukrainians do not trust President Zelenskyy. Zaluzhnyi, who previously served as the Commander of the Armed Forces and is now the Ambassador to the United Kingdom, has consistently been a popular figure in Ukrainian public opinion.

Beyond the top two, other notable figures also garnered significant trust. Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov received a 52% trust rating, followed by Minister of Defense Mykhailo Fedorov with 50%, and former Mykolaiv regional governor Vitaliy Kim with 47%. These figures highlight the current landscape of public confidence in Ukraine's political arena.
