Ponies rescued from farm fire caused by flex tool; millions in damages

A significant fire erupted on a farm in Freudenstadt, Germany, resulting in an estimated 2.5 million euros in damages. Firefighters battled the blaze that spread rapidly across the property.

Numerous firefighters are in action to extinguish the flames on the farm.

Initial police findings suggest the fire originated from activities involving a flex tool in a workshop on the farm. The flames quickly spread from the workshop to the main residential building, a stable, and a storage hall, engulfing large sections of the farm.

According to initial findings, there is suspicion that the fire was caused by work with a flex in a workshop.

Fortunately, all the ponies housed in the stable were safely evacuated and brought to safety outside the burning structures. The 56-year-old owner of the farm suffered minor injuries while attempting to fight the fire himself before emergency services arrived.

The flames spread from there to the residential building, a stable, and a storage hall.

Numerous firefighters were deployed to combat the fire. To ensure all remaining embers were extinguished, rescue workers used an excavator to break open the walls of the storage hall. A neighboring building containing agricultural machinery was completely destroyed, and the main residential house sustained severe damage, rendering it uninhabitable.
