Popular Greek Dream Beach to Remain Closed This Summer

Navagio Beach, a world-renowned tourist destination on the Greek island of Zakynthos, will continue to be inaccessible to visitors throughout the summer of 2026. The closure, extended until at least October 31, 2026, is a critical safety measure implemented to mitigate the persistent danger posed by rockfalls and landslides.

The iconic cove, famous for its shipwreck, will not allow tourists to set foot on its shores or swim in its waters. Additionally, maritime traffic will be required to keep a safe distance from the area. This decision impacts one of Greece's most photographed locations, leaving it off-limits for another season.
