Popular Taichung Dentist Dies Suddenly; Wife Recalls Ominous Warning

A sudden death has shocked the community in Taichung, Taiwan, with the passing of 42-year-old dentist Zhang Yuanhan on May 22. Zhang, a well-regarded figure in his field, left behind his wife, also a dentist, and their infant twins.

His wife, Ye Yingtong, shared a poignant detail about the day before his death. She recounted that Zhang had repeatedly expressed a feeling of being "about to explode," a warning sign that she now understands in retrospect but couldn't comprehend at the time. He also reportedly felt that nothing he consumed, whether food or drink, felt right that day.

Zhang was described as someone with excellent habits but a significant flaw: an excessively high standard for himself. He also struggled to relax, leading to poor sleep quality with frequent awakenings throughout the night. On the day of his passing, he went to work as usual, but his wife noted a change in his behavior; he typically woke and moved around hourly, but on that night, he did not. She checked on him around 3 a.m. but, exhausted herself, soon fell back asleep.

Ye Yingtong shared her grief and a message of reflection, stating, "We always think life is long, always thinking there will be a next time. Until one day we realize that some people leave without warning. I hope everyone can cherish the people in front of them."
