PPC pushes back against blame for Bellevue delay

The Public Procurement Commission is rejecting claims that it helped delay the Government’s plan to build a new 100-bed mental health facility at Bellevue Hospital.

In a statement issued on August 31, the commission said a comprehensive review of its records found no procurement submission for the project.

The PPC said it had never received a submission concerning the procurement of a firm to design the proposed facility. It therefore pushed back against suggestions that its review or approval process had held up the project.
