Prabowo invites eight program beneficiaries to annual parliamentary session

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto is set to welcome eight special guests to the upcoming joint annual session of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR), the House of Representatives (DPR), and the Regional Representative Council (DPD). The session is scheduled to take place at the parliamentary complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Friday, August 14.

DPR Speaker Puan Maharani announced that these eight invitees are representatives of individuals who have directly benefited from the government's strategic programs. This includes the 732 members of the DPR and DPD, former presidents and vice presidents, cabinet members, and distinguished guests, such as ambassadors from friendly nations. Preparations for the session are reportedly 80 percent complete and are expected to be fully ready by the day before the event. The session will commence at 8:30 AM Western Indonesian Time (WIB). It will be divided into two main segments: the first will feature President Prabowo's state address, followed by his speech presenting the draft state budget for 2027 in the afternoon at 2:30 PM WIB.

The acting Secretary General of the DPR, Suprihatini, mentioned that the eight special guests, representing program beneficiaries, will be seated in the balcony of the main assembly hall. However, neither Maharani nor Suprihatini disclosed the specific names or affiliations of these invitees.
