Prabowo Mourns 3 Police Officers Killed in Central Kalimantan Drug Raid

President Prabowo Subianto has offered his condolences following the deaths of three police officers from the Katingan Resort Police. The officers were killed in the line of duty during a raid targeting drug operations in Tumbang Kalemei Village, Katingan Tengah District, Katingan Regency, Central Kalimantan. The incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday, July 2.

During the operation, the officers reportedly faced resistance from individuals armed with sharp weapons. Aipda Yudhi Perdana Putra died during the operation, while Bripda Nopandri Ramadhana and Aiptu Sumaryanto were found dead in the Katingan River after initially being reported missing. In response to the tragedy, the National Police Headquarters has posthumously awarded these officers a special promotion.

President Prabowo stated that the government remains committed to eradicating severe crimes, including drug trafficking, corruption, and illegal gambling, asserting that significant progress has been made in these efforts. The Katingan Police have arrested three suspects in connection with the attack on the officers, identified by the initials N, R, and S.
