Prabowo Tells Indonesian Army Cadets to Adapt to Global Geopolitical Shifts

President Prabowo Subianto has called on the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) to adapt to the volatile global geopolitical landscape. Speaking to over a thousand officer cadets at the Army Command and Staff College (Seskoad) in Bandung, West Java, on May 25, 2026, Prabowo stressed the imperative for soldiers to adjust to extreme geopolitical shifts.

The most important thing we can conclude is that we must be able to adapt. Adapt to developments. We know how extreme the geopolitical dynamics are in their changes. Well, we as TNI officers must also be able to adapt.

Mayor Cke Amarullah of Syndicate 08, a student at Seskoad, highlighted the practical lessons from Prabowo's address. "The most important thing we can conclude is that we must be able to adapt. Adapt to developments. We know how extreme the geopolitical dynamics are in their changes. Well, we as TNI officers must also be able to adapt," Amarullah stated, according to a press release from the Indonesian Government Communication Body.

Amarullah further noted Prabowo's emphasis on the TNI's need to align its doctrines with the times and emerging challenges. He assured that the soldiers are ready to fully support the president's vision. "We, as TNI soldiers, will support it 100 percent. The briefing was attended by cadets from various command and staff colleges, including the TNI's Seskoad, the National Police's Sespimti, and the Army, Navy, and Air Force's respective Sesko institutions, as well as Sespimmen Polri. Commander of Seskoad, Major General TNI Agustinus Purboyo, reported that 1,095 individuals were present. He described the event as historic, marking the first time an active president had personally attended and lectured all Sesko students.
