President Awards Two Tiers of Gifts to Honored Citizens for July 27 Commemoration

In recognition of their sacrifices, Vietnam's President has signed a decision to provide financial gifts to individuals honored for their contributions to the nation. This gesture coincides with the upcoming commemoration of War Invalids and Martyrs Day on July 27th.

The support is structured into two tiers. A sum of 600,000 VND will be given to recipients such as Vietnamese Heroic Mothers receiving monthly allowances, individuals recognized before July 28th who are still completing formalities, and those with disabilities (including war veterans, those with chemical exposure) experiencing an 81% or higher level of physical impairment and receiving monthly benefits. This tier also includes relatives of martyrs receiving monthly survivor benefits and families with multiple martyrs.

A second tier of support, amounting to 300,000 VND, will be provided to individuals with disabilities ranging from 80% impairment downwards, who are also receiving monthly allowances. This includes war veterans, those with chemical exposure, individuals receiving disability pensions, relatives of martyrs, and those caring for martyrs when no direct relatives remain.

According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, the decision, effective from June 11th, will benefit over 1.56 million people across the country. The total allocated budget for this initiative is nearly 476 billion VND, which has been incorporated into the state budget plan for 2026. The Prime Minister and relevant ministers are responsible for the implementation of this decision.
