Lee elaborated on his thoughts regarding the election outcomes for approximately 13 minutes. He acknowledged the difficulty in formulating a response, saying, "I thought a lot about what to say." He stressed that even unexpected or unfavorable results should be interpreted as a message from the public to the government.

During the press conference, Lee also touched upon other pressing issues. Regarding labor union demands for profit sharing at Samsung Electronics, he expressed surprise, remarking, "I never imagined they would ask to share operating profits. Isn't that quite bold?" He also commented on real estate policy, noting the tendency for property prices to rise when a reformist government takes office, even after years of stagnation under conservative administrations.
