President Lee Expresses Gratitude to 'Architects of Korea Today'

President Lee Jae-myung expressed gratitude to national merit recipients and their families, honoring their sacrifices for the nation. He hosted over 180 individuals, including veterans and their families, for a luncheon at the Blue House's Yeongbin-gwan. The event, held under the slogan 'The Nation You Protected, The Country We Will Make Bloom,' aimed to convey respect and thanks for their dedication.

During the ceremony, President Lee personally presented Taegeukgi badges to representative recipients from independence, national defense, and democracy sectors. These badges, shaped like the national flag, are designed to be worn on the chest, symbolizing the pride of those who served the country. The reverse side is engraved with the recipients' names, signifying the nation's respect for their sacrifices.

The attendees represented a wide spectrum of service, including members of veteran organizations, descendants of overseas independence activists, families of fallen soldiers and firefighters, and veterans of the West Sea defense. The event featured a tribute video, the badge presentation, the president's address, lunch, and a celebratory performance, underscoring the government's commitment to recognizing national heroes.
