President Rodríguez: Down with the information blockade!

President Delcy Rodríguez has formally called for an immediate end to the "information blockade" that has restricted access to numerous news websites in Venezuela. The appeal, channeled through El Nacional's Editor-President Miguel Henrique Otero, urges the National Telecommunications Commission (Conatel) to lift all restrictions on digital platforms.

In a letter addressed to Rodríguez, Otero highlighted the critical situation in Venezuela, where the blocking of news outlets prevents citizens from accessing vital information. He stressed that in the midst of the country's severe crisis, these restrictions hinder people's ability to locate and communicate with their families.
