President Tinubu celebrates Abike Dabiri-Erewa’s father on 100th birthday

President Bola Tinubu extended congratulations to elder statesman Alhaji Ashafa Erogbogbo on reaching his 100th birthday. Erogbogbo, a retired aviation supervisor at Shell Company Nigeria Limited, is also the father of Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission. Tinubu described the milestone as "a remarkable milestone, a rare blessing, and a reward for a life of discipline, dedication, integrity, and selfless service to humanity and the nation." The President joined Erogbogbo's family in celebrating his "century-long journey" and acknowledged his contributions to national development through his service at various organizations, including the Government Printing Press, Nigeria Customs and Excise, and Shell Company. Tinubu commended Erogbogbo's professionalism, diligence, and commitment to excellence throughout his career. He also recognized Erogbogbo's role as a respected community leader in Ikorodu, Lagos State, noting that his wisdom and exemplary lifestyle continue to inspire younger generations. Despite his advanced age, Tinubu observed that Erogbogbo "remains sharp of mind and warm of spirit." The President also expressed anticipation for the release of Erogbogbo's life story, titled "Echoes of Grace: The Journey of a Century," published to commemorate his birthday. He concluded by praying for continued good health, peace, strength, and happiness for the centenarian.
