Presidential Office Appoints Kim Rak-jung, Lee Seung-won to Key Secretary Roles

The Presidential Office has appointed Kim Rak-jung as the National Task Secretary and Lee Seung-won as the Overseas Media Secretary. Lee Seung-won is set to begin his duties immediately, filling the vacancy left by the previous secretary's resignation.

Lee Seung-won brings a diverse background to his new role, having previously worked as a journalist for publications like Naeil Shinmun and eDaily. He has also been active as a political commentator in recent times. His appointment to the Overseas Media Secretary position comes after Choi Sung-ah stepped down from the role.

Kim Rak-jung will succeed Han Sang-ik as the National Task Secretary. Kim has a history in journalism, having worked for Seongnam Ilbo. He is also known to have a long-standing connection with the current administration, dating back to when the current president served as the mayor of Seongnam.
