Priest fathered Fernando Dente, journalist claims

The long-standing animosity between brothers Tomás and Fernando Dente has resurfaced, with new details emerging about its alleged origins. Journalist Yanina Latorre shared on América TV's "Sálvese quien pueda" that the core of the brothers' conflict traces back to a revelation made by their mother before her death.

According to Latorre, the Dente family experienced significant domestic turmoil. Their mother, Ada, allegedly had an affair with her confessor, a priest, resulting in Fernando's conception. The priest reportedly offered to leave his vows, but Ada refused, fearing her husband, José Dente. The priest never knew Fernando was his son and had no contact with him. Latorre stated that José Dente was unaware his youngest son was not biologically his and shared a close bond with Fernando, despite the violent atmosphere at home.

Fernando Dente eventually left home at 18 due to the constant conflict. Years later, after their parents' separation and José Dente's death, Ada was diagnosed with cancer. Facing her mortality, she decided to tell Fernando the truth about his paternity. This revelation reportedly caused a rift, with Fernando allegedly not visiting her during her final days. The brothers' relationship further deteriorated when Fernando reportedly did not attend their mother's final farewell, despite her asking for him.

Latorre also mentioned that the priest eventually left the clergy, married another woman, and had a daughter. He did meet Fernando in 2008 when the actor was performing in "Hairspray," accompanied by his wife and daughter. However, the connection between them did not develop.
