Prime Minister Takaichi discusses personnel changes with LDP lawmakers Kobayashi and Hagiuda

Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi has begun sounding out senior Liberal Democratic Party figures over personnel changes expected later this month, including a reshuffle of the party leadership and the cabinet.

Takaichi met LDP policy affairs council chair Tsuyoshi Kobayashi and acting secretary-general Koichi Hagiuda. The discussions focused on the planned appointments and cabinet changes.

Party organizational reform also came up during the talks. The meeting is part of consultations over the structure of Takaichi’s administration and the ruling party’s leadership.
