Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly preparing for a significant family move back to the United Kingdom, with plans to relocate from the United States later this month. The couple, along with their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, are expected to settle in a private residence outside London, with the children due to start school in the UK next month.

Decisions regarding the security of Royal Family members are handled by the Royal and VIP Executive Committee (Ravec), an independent body overseen by the Home Office. The Home Office clarified that the prime minister does not make these security decisions.

Prince Harry's security in the UK has been a contentious issue since he and Meghan stepped back from royal duties in 2020. He previously lost a legal challenge against a decision to reduce his security arrangements during visits to Britain. Ravec will need to make a new determination, as previous arrangements were based on the couple not residing permanently in the UK.
