Prince Harry to Visit London Alone, Without Meghan and Children

Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, is set to travel to London next week, but his wife Meghan and their children, Archie and Lilibet, will not accompany him. This marks a change from the initial plan for the family's first joint visit to the United Kingdom in four years.

A source close to the Duke of Sussex confirmed the revised travel arrangements to AFP, without providing a specific reason for Meghan and the children's absence. The couple, who have resided in California since stepping back from royal duties in 2020, were reportedly planning this trip as part of preparations for the 2027 Invictus Games, which are scheduled to be held in Birmingham, England. Prince Harry founded the Invictus Games to support wounded or sick military veterans from various countries.

The Sun newspaper reported that the family is currently in Europe and still hopes for a visit to the UK in some capacity. Citing a source close to the couple, the tabloid suggested that Harry and Meghan had planned a joint visit to a London hospital, but Harry will now go alone "for security reasons."

King Charles III had previously invited the Duke and his family to stay at one of the royal residences. It remains unclear if Harry will meet with his father during this visit. The monarch last saw his grandchildren in 2022 during Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee celebrations. Prince Harry has made several solo trips back to the UK since 2020, meeting King Charles twice.
